Implementing Unified Customer
Profile – The
Essence of SDP
In this customer centric market, information
about your customer at the time of interaction becomes
vital for survival. Unified user profile (UUP) is essential
to deliver personalized services at every customer touch
points. A SDP without UUP will be a major setback for
any operator in telecom looking for accelerating Value
added Service revenue. The challenge lies everywhere
right from creation, management and usage of UUP.
- Profitably
accelerate service realization – Key
player in reducing “Time to market” for
new services
- Infusing Business Intelligence and Personalization
to SDP Services
- Separation of Service Logic from subscriber
information – Meet
the challenge of Simplify Complex Integrations
- Real
Time Essence – Low Latency, High Volume
Real time Transactions

The Importance of ”Inside Out” and “Outside
In” Strategies and Related Toolkits for SOA-based
Service Delivery Platforms Above NGN And NGMN
- Web/Telco Convergence driving open API and
SOA adoption
- Outlining a generic Open SOA SDP above
legacy, NGN and NGMN environments
- Inside out (IO):
Offering telco APIs to web service providers
- Outside
in (OI): Incorporating web APIs in Telco service
offers
- The role of Policy based Service Brokers for
supporting IO and OI
- The importance of low cost operator
testbeds to gain early IO/OI experiences
- Experiences
from the FOKUS Open SOA Telco Playground and related
operator testbed deployments

GSMA One API & Embedded Mobile
Initiative
New developments in its Embedded Mobile Initiative,
including work to establish standard design guidelines
for embedded mobile applications and the kick-off of
a competition to drive development in the embedded mobile
market. The goal of the Embedded Mobile programme is
to foster new business opportunities by bringing the
benefits of continuous mobile connectivity to embedded
devices in the clean energy, education, healthcare, transport,
consumer electronics and smart utilities sectors. The
GSMA expects to make these design guidelines available
in November. To further promote the development of the
embedded mobile market, the GSMA has kicked off a competition
whose goal is to identify best-in-class embedded modules
across a number of categories, as well as mobile service
applications.

Pre-Integrated SDP Components And Their
Role In Shortening SDP Deployment Cycle
- Current SDP strategy
focuses on moving away from silo based applications
to framework based service creation and deployment
environment with network side adaptation. This enables
an open and standards based application development
- Commercial SDP frameworks leave a lot to be implemented
before real applications can be put to production in
a service provider environment
- Pre-integrated SDP components
in network and OSS/BSS areas can significantly reduce
time to market and help in rapid monetization

The Customer Experience And Adopting Open Innovation
Models
- How can operators create an attractive application
development environment for third party developers?
- What
are the unique enablers they can offer in the short
and long term?
- How do they see the collaborative ecosystems
being structured? For example, should they partner
with other operator and equipment providers' development
communities?
- How can SDP provide a unified network service
creation and service exposure infrastructure for
new and innovative services?
